whatcha makin' now?

I'm not sure you can really tell from this photo, but I melted the ends of the copper twisted wire to form a kind of ball at the end. I thought of putting a jump ring on one end to make them into earrings. The bad thing about putting fire to copper is that you can't put it in the pickle or it'll make everything else you put in the pickle pink. And that pink is *really* difficult to remove once it's on. The twisted silver rings I soldered together. Not sure what to make of those yet. I want to make something to cover the seam, so it's not so obvious, but not sure how to make it attractive. I'll have to think on that one.

These are just copper jump rings that I soldered together. I like the color difference between the copper and the silver solder. cool. These I have been using in some of my earrings lately. Copper is so much fun to work with.
how about you? what have you been working with that is fun? something new? interesting?

You can make a cheap pickle with about a cup of white vinegar and 1/4c table salt. Chemical pickles kinda freak me out, so that's all I use...just don't put silver in it after the copper, it turns the silver dirty brown.
