local copper jewelry artist

I think copper is one of the most neglected of the precious metals. I love the color, but it is rarely used in most jewelry. Probably because it tarnishes so quickly, is very soft, so that can make it challenging to work with. I really like copper and was looking to find other artists that use it, and VOILA! I found an Orlando jewelry artist that uses copper! This photo shows a copper wire wrapped ring that you can find on her blog here. Her name is Melanie Jernigan @ MoonFly Studio. I like the name, (I wonder where she got the name from?), and some of her pieces are beautiful. I like the simplicity. (You know I go for simple.)

Thanks for the kind words about my work! I work mostly with silver, but I'm a fan of copper too.

I'm enjoying your blog and Flicker photos as well. I'm a little behind the times, but congrats on your A in statistics! :)
